Do you see those profiles when making an image? Either edit one of them or make a new one. The most important part is the Data track options which contains the subchannel settings. ePSXe can then read the produced .img file. And don't forget to put the .sub file into the same directory.

Took Felson's advice. pSX works like a charm. Case closed.

Re: Install ePSXe Playstation Emulator (Version 2)

    Hi,

I am getting the following error when I try to run ePSXe:

./epsxe: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

During the installation progress, when I pasted the following line:

    sudo aptitude install ia32-libs lib32glib1.2 lib32gtk1.2

The terminal just stood at the following line and didn't move forward:

    0% [Connecting to packages.dfreer.org (71.127.72.162)]

Is there any other way to get those files?

    Thanks

Try changing which mirror you are using to get your packages. I have to do that sometimes as well.

Re: Install ePSXe Playstation Emulator (Version 2)

    Hello,

I tried to create a launcher for ePSXe in the gnome panel adding a new item and typing epsxe in the command box but it doesn't work nothing happens when i start it that way...

Note that typing epsxe in the terminal as user works though...

Also as user i cannot launch epsxe in the install directory by double-clicking it but i can as root (with sudo nautilus)... I don't know if it has anything to do with it...

Can someone help me with my launcher issue?

    Thanks

PS: Im on Gutsy and i did the upx -d step

Try creating a shell script to do it like this:

    Code:
    #!/bin/bash

    export EPSXE='/usr/local/games/epsxe'
    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$EPSXE
    cd $EPSXE
    ./epsxe -analog
Then create a shortcut to the script instead. This is the one I use myself. Remove the "-analog" if you don't have an analog game pad.

I did that still doesn't work... forgot to mention i use epsxe 1.5.2 not 1.6.0 (with which the launcher works...)...

Shouldn't matter if it's 1.5.2 or 1.6 really. I am at a loss now though. The only issue I had with it was a pathing issue before, which is why I made the script.

I reinstalled my entire system still cannot launch epsxe 1.5.2 as user via nautilus only via the console or as root...

This is an error on my end. Firstly, the site has been up/down periodically the last month. Secondly, due to my new ISP who blocks port 80, you'll need to edit one line in your /etc/apt/sources.list from this:
    Code:
    deb http://packages.dfreer.org gutsy main
    to this:
    Code:
    deb http://packages.dfreer.org:8080 gutsy main
No need to re-download the GPG key. You can also download the .deb files you need using HTTP:
    http://packages.dfreer.org:8080/pool...y-amd64/lib32/

Finally, if neither of those options sound good to you, I can post any requested packages in the forums here. Just let me know what you need.

EDIT: @ Felson - You might want to change the link on the front page to this:
    http://packages.dfreer.org:8080/#secondary_main_column
