Java programming problem with Fullscreen

I'm making a simple java game with some friends for school. We made so you can switch between Full screen mode or normal mode, but in Ubuntu (myself and one more friend use it, the other uses the unholy vista) the full screen looks like this:

And it windows it works fine which annoys me. My Ubuntu user friend said that it has something to do with gutsy gibbon specifically the program for multiple screen support.

Thanks for all your help in advance

Re: Java programming problem with Fullscreen

I'm the friend. The thing that may be causing the problem is Xinerama, you can check this bug in Launchpad. So is there a way to disable Xinerama to test the game. Or to force the fullscreen in java?
