connecting a usb scanner to VB

Ok, getting there. Figured out that I needed the newest version 1.5.2 of Vb to see the USB tab. I set the filter I guess to Epson which was listed in the drop down.
VB is running fine, have installed the drivers for the Epson CX5000 printer/scanner. Get this now:

"Failed to create a proxy device for the USB device. Error_Verr_File not_found_"

I think if I can get over this hurdle I can get this thing working. Appreciate all the help! LOL Whole lot further along than I was a couple days ago!

Same problem her with a hand-scanner (miniSCANEYE II) for Chinese.
