It has been mentioned many times that you need the nvidia-glx-dev file for nvidia cards, but what should I have If I am using ATI?

I don't think that you need them. i have an intel intergrated graphics card in my laptop and i built e17 just fine without nvidia-glx-dev.Originally Posted by Xgkkp
I had the exact same freetype problem. Does anybody have a workaround?

Hi everyone, I was just trying to figure out everything I needed to do to get E17 working in Breezy using CVS. I'm not having much luck, Here's my error so far:
Running aclocal...
aclocal: configure.in: 17: macro `AM_ENABLE_SHARED' not found in library
aclocal: configure.in: 18: macro `AM_PROG_LIBTOOL' not found in library
I know this guide is for Hoary, but I am trying to figure out a good way to get this to work in Breezy, and I figured compiling from cvs would be the best solution. Any ideas on what is causing this error?
Thanks in advance.
Maybe you should wite what dependencies for the rest of us that also want this to work, if there are more than the ones described in the howto at the beginnning

Hi all,
I'm rather tempted to try e17, but would like to keep my gnome available.
How does it work at the moment: do you choose between e17 and gnome at the login screen? As long as it leaves me the choice, that's fine!
Thanks,
Olivier
Yup the login screen lets you choose between your installed desktop environments, just make sure you follow the Howto correctlyOriginally Posted by dukeleto
