    [SOLVED] Add music to database

I have been using MythTV for awhile, but I have never gotten it to work adequately with my music collection. My music is nearly all ogg vorbis with an m3u per album. I have copied my entire collection into the /var/lib/mythtv/music directory and insured that my setup uses that directory for myth music. However, MythTV only lists a couple of my albums when I try to show all music. Do I need to execute a command or something to add them to a database? I am stumped. Help.

Try to go in the settings menu, you should have a music sub menu there (I don't recall exactly the name).

In the settings/music, you have an item called "Scan for new music" or something like that.. try it if it adds your music.

    Worked for me anyway!

    [SOLVED] Add music to database

Gosh I feel like a dope. Thanks. MythMusic leaves a lot to be desired. I have about 8000 ogg files in my library. The navigation is so slow and kludgy that it is dysfunctional. I will keep working with it.
