    Smile NIC westell card

I am running 7.04 on an older laptop that does not have a NIC.
I do have a Westell 802.11g wireless PC card (pcmcia).

What do I need to do to get it up and running on my local house network?

I am retired HW Tech Support Engineer from Sun Microsystems and have not done much with Linux drivers.

    Many thanks in advance, John

Hi John, have you tried just booting the laptop with the card in? It may *just work*, especially if you try it with the hot new Gutsy. Beyond that, I'm not sure, I haven't used a pcmcia card in a while, thought I know a co-worker is using one.
