Yes they're small but I'm taking into account functionality aswell. I'm gonna need some persuading on the usefulness of these to your average (beginner?) user.

DexOS is definitely a light OS, like MenuetOS, for old computers.
AROS doesn't count since it's for research/VM. Visopsys is nice I suppose, but is more than matched by other Linux distributions.

How would that compare to PUD?

Can I use this off a hard drive, or only as a live CD?

It's a lot lighter than PUD.
You can really only use it as a liveCD until K.Mandla gets the installer working.

Agreed. When I work out a solution I'll have to put it in Icebuntu immediately.

By the way, as you probably know, you can install Ubuntu on very old machines.

Performance depends on your level of motivation, and how many hours in the day you're willing to spend.
So it took you an insane amount of time to do it too? Funny, the I used the alternate CD which (should be) faster than the Live CD, but on my Laptop the Live CD only took 45 minutes (maybe even 15, I cant remember). I guess it's way faster. Which one did you use on Turbo (cute, you gave it a name, I feel sorry for it it's so old, do me a favor and put Turbo to good use....) and the other one?

Anyways, Pud or the GTK remix won't take 6 hours to install, will they?

INX (based on Ubuntu Hardy) intrigues me.

Is INX better or worse than the GTK Remix?

Did K.Mandla get the installer working?
