    Re: Howto: NoNetDebs - upgrade Ubuntu without Internet (or with low-bandwidth connect

    Hi I have a computer where I have used Ubuntu 11.04 but there is no possibility of internet connection in it. Whenever i try to play any songs/videos it shows that some codec needs to be installed and it needs internet..But I have got internet in a Windows 7 computer. How can I update my Ubuntu from Windows 7???? I tried a lot to do it by seeing this ubuntu forum. Please help me....or you may post a video how to do it if you can.
    Thank you

    @shrijesh
    This tutorial is outdated - i.e. does not work.
    I would suggest starting a new thread to ask for help. There are plenty of help sites to help you understand the basics of Ubuntu:
    http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/
    One option if you need to play video / music on a computer without internet is to install Linux Mint - it is very similar to Ubuntu, but includes all those codecs and VLC as default.
    If you need any further help - please start a new thread in Absolute Beginners section.
