    Hi Jose,

Please see message 453 on page 46 of this thread. That will probably fix your wireless problem.

    Cheers,

No, 3d doesn't work with the lastest ubuntu. They're still working on a nvidia driver. Older versions of ubuntu work fine though.

This is the problem with proprietary computer hardware -- support goes away.

Unhappy Re: HOW TO: Install Ubuntu on a HP TC1100 tablet pc

I've followed the instructions on Linux Deal but I'm having issues with the screen rotate commands. It doesnt appear to work and I cant work out why. I tried calling it from the command line and got this:

    HP-Tablet-PC-Tx1100:~$ xrandr -o left
X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 153 (RANDR)
Minor opcode of failed request: 2 (RRSetScreenConfig)
Serial number of failed request: 14
Current serial number in output stream: 14

I've also tried to do the rotate command from the control panel but it's not got an option to rotate there.

Have I not installed something correctly on my TC1100?

    Hi EvilKeg,

If it is a Nvidia video chipset:
    Code:
    lspci | grep VGA
and you are using the proprietary driver, you need rotation enabled in the xorg.conf with:
    Code:
    Option "RandRRotation" "on"
See appendix 1 in the Rotation HOW TO.

Re: HOW TO: Install Ubuntu on a HP TC1100 tablet pc

UPDATE:::Fixed found I had to update the xf86-input-wacom driver per the launchpad instructions and it didn't take the first time. Had to use the autogen.sh method. So it now works properly.

Hello all from sunny Florida!!! Had a quick question I have everything working with the rotate script found earlier in this post. It is bound to a key and rotates but the stylus doesn't move. I can type the xsetwacom command after I rotate the screen (the same command that is in the script) and it rotates the stylus but it will not do it with the script. I know it has to be something easy I am missing but can't quite figure it out. The script is:

    Code:
    #!/bin/sh
    if [ -n "$(xrandr | grep 768x1024)" ]; then
            xrandr -o normal
xsetwacom set "Serial Wacom Tablet stylus" rotate NONE
    else
            xrandr -o left
xsetwacom set "Serial Wacom Tablet stylus" rotate cw
    fi
    TIA
    Jason

    MyR,

Can you please post an instruction on how to fix issues when installing Ubuntu 11.10 on TC1100? I installed it, but the tablet had problem waking up from suspension (blank screen), and I don't know how to assign keys under this version of Ubuntu to rotate, and control brightness, etc.

    Thanks!

I loaned my tablet to someone, so I don't have it available right now. Sorry...
