Panel not visible after tonights 61 updates - 7.10

Did an upgrade tonight of 61 packages and after reboot, the bottom panel is not visible unless I click where it should be. Then it appears.

Deleted the panel and created a new one, rebooted, top panel did the same. Deleted it and created a new one, rebooted, bottom panel gone again.

    Ubuntu 7.10 beta.

Otherwise, all has been working fine.

Also, went to do a bug report and it asked what package the bug is in...I have no idea what package it is happening in.

    Update:

I have played around with this. and this only happens (for me) when desktop effects are on login.

Following the advise above, click where the panel should be it and will appear, as if it was hiding.

Same problem here. Shouldn't a bug report be filled in? I guess I was wrong: there IS a bug report. . https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...iz/+bug/147943
