    Love it!!!

I'm moving to the Philippines after March of next year and have had a grand vision for a while now of doing this type of thing for some of the provinces outside of the city. I have a buddy who has a few companies in Manila and here in the states that I will be approaching with this.

as you could see its from Brazil, the Linux utilized on it is Ubuntu, both on 12 boxes and on the server. All of them connect to the server (IBM 206 xSeries). Ubuntu is perfect for our purpouses, I really have to thanks the Ubuntu team for the medias CDs.

Ps.: this is a partnetship with the federal government.

Good luck getting that going on.

At least in Brasil, projects like this have the backing of the federal and regional governments... in the Philippines, you will be faced with both governmental incapacity and a market completely saturated by pirated software of all kinds. Why go through the trouble and heartache of Linux on the desktop when (relatively) few pesos in the marketplace will get you Windows?
