I like bittornado, its in the repositories as bittornado-gui. Others like azureus, but I think its a resource hog.

Azureus is a ressource hog, but i have plenty of ressource! I still feel it is the best out there. If I remember well, you need to install the version 2.5 from the official webpage though. There are tons of good howto in the forum.

I couldn't get azureus to do anything but crash. My fave is ktorrent.

It really is a very small program, memory-footprint wise. After installing it, for me the next logical step would be to configure it so that it works seamlessly with Firefox. It takes about 1 extra minute to do so, the howto is located here. If you don't have WINE, I would second DirtDawg's suggestion for rTorrent. |
