Actually, that is not a Wine command line option, but is an option for certain game executables that allow a windowed argument. It won't work for everything, it just works for those games that allow that command line argument.
Its like running Half-Life 2 with the "-dxlevel 90" argument; the variable is not a Wine variable, but is a hl2.exe variable and it won't work for other games.
If there was justice in the world, winehq.org would replace all of its uploaded screenshots with that one. Of a more stunning endorsement I cannot think!
1 - Supreme Ruler 2010, along with one of the reasons I like using Wine in the first place.
Scratches
Star Wars Jedi Outcast
Splinter Cell
Silent hill 4
Scratches is a puzzle game so most of you probably have not heard of it.Splinter Cell works with new wine 0.9.44 almost perfectly accept the res you see is the highest it can go......but you can go to full screen and it is playable.
EDIT:I have almost every computer game known too man and I have no life......so I have more....

Anyway, simple rogue like game, played it back in the day. Works like a charm in wine (unless you click the help button initially, just start the game and all is well)
The idea of copyright did not exist in ancient times, when authors frequently copied other authors at length in works of non-fiction. This practice was useful, and is the only way many authors' works have survived even in part. -- Richard Stallman
