    ubuntu/linux changs?

I haven't touched ubuntu (or linux) since shortly before Dapper's release. I remember some of the common short comings back then and curious how things have progressed since then? Besides the areas of improvement, what are the current common problems?

Well, the only big thing for me is that Fiesty has awesome wireless support. As for problem areas, I see none.

Another cool thing Feisty's got is the "Restricted Drivers Manager", which made it way easier to install mi video card drivers. About problems, I can't think of any right now...

Ask again, or better yet try it, when Gutsy Gibbon comes out!

October 18th is not too far. It has a lot of great fixes, and nice touches. (Being able to configure my touchpad's behavior without fiddling with xorg.conf to name one...)

Also, Gnome 2.20 will be included in Gutsy, which bears new features and bug fixes.

I started in the days of Edgy, and the vast improvements just with Feisty... well lets just say im looking forward to gutsy (and I run KDE!)

Researching right now what distros I want to try, gutsy will be downloaded and tested when it's released.

Currently waiting on a laptop I just bought to arrive.
