Re: Lets just face it, KDE is better can we move on now

they put a k at the front of all their apps so that people know its part of KDE. I don't see what is so wrong with that.

I used two different "there". "they're" in the first one and "their" in this one lol

Let's get some s*** straight to start.

Different DE's were created because not everyone liked the same thing. Just like there are multiple browsers that will show you the same site, but the interface is different. Sure, you may like KDE, but I like Gnome. Why am I wrong? Why are you wrong? I like Firefox, you like Opera. Am I wrong to like Firefox? No. I dislike Windows, but there are hundreds of thousands of other people who find that it suits them just fine, and don't need to jump on the linux bandwagon. Is there anything wrong with that? absolutely not.

People do and always will use what they want. If KDE is best for you, use it, but don't rag on anyone who doesn't. It's all about opinions and you have no right to even think of changing the opinion of someone else.

Wow, this post is so lame I feel I have to add to its lameness.

I love KDE, I love it because it allows us a choice between ways of rocking a desktop. Thats also why XFCE is the ****, as well as every other window manager or desktop.

Choices are good. Making blanket statements on the better choice because its something you prefer is opinion, not fact.

Glad you like KDE, its great it really is.

p.s. I am a gnome user and hug it everyday. Well three times a day, but I am the only one counting.

If you really wanted to "move on," you wouldn't have started this thread. I've joined you to another flamewar.

    Re: Poll: Gnome vs KDE

I was a Gnome user from Warty days, towards the end of Breezy I thought I would try Kubuntu. I was converted to KDE in an instant. Yes it might look a bit fisher-pricey but that can be changed. You will never get the functionality of KDE in Gnome, end of story. I will not go back to Gnome unless it changes in some revolutionary way.

    Long live KDE !!!

KDE4 holds lots of promises but we will have to wait and see.

    Re: Poll: Gnome vs KDE

I am very interested what KDE4 will be like.

I can tell for myself that I like KDE but I do not hate the others, they simply do not fit my needs.
