Some suggestions :
* Integration with LaunchPad and everything that lies on it (bugs, groups, support requests, blueprints, etc.)
* Making it easy for someone to find support on someone else (maybe a reward system for those who give good support ? )
* Features on other social networking sites (like orkut.com)

Maybe we could team up, I've been working on a site like this for about a week now on my own but haven't said anything, now i wish i had! I didn't realize how many responses I would have gotten!
I have temporary free hosting for the dev site, check it out at http://dev.athertek.com/ubuntucommunity.
It looks like i haven't done anything but trust me, there is a very complex framework. I'm a PHP certified web designer, I've been doing this for years, and ive spent the last week literally about 8 hours a day designing just the framework for this site.

Also, I'd attempt an API for people to make apps, and don't force us into some myspace-esque look where we have to hack it to get out of the box. Give us some creative control! Either that, or give us none at all. (Which is a good option too, so that we don't have to worry about it.)
