    Try to install openjdk-6-jre or sun-java6-jre and set it as the default java vm.
    Code:
    sudo update-alternatives --config java
    If there are still problems starting the GUI this faq entry might help.

    This seems to be a bug in the mintMenu. But there is a workaround:
    Run
    sudo gedit /usr/share/applications/ipblock.desktop

    and change the line
    Exec=gksu "/usr/sbin/ipblock -g"

    to
    Exec=gksu "/usr/sbin/ipblock gui"

    ,save and exit.

    does anyone know if there are any plans to make IpList available for PPC?

    There are no plans for PowerPC support due to lack of hardware and working ppc emulation (openhackware bug). But you could build deb packages on ppc.

    Excellent! Thanks for that!

    Now can anyone tell me how to submit a package installation bug report?

    The following packages have unmet dependencies.
    build-essential: Depends: libc6-dev but it is not going to be installed or
    libc-dev
    Depends: g++ (>= 4:4.1.1) but it is not going to be installed
    E: Broken packages

    Re: HOWTO: Graphical IP Blocker

    I've had Ipblocker setup up for about a month now and have yet been able to update. I am running 64bit hardy. I was set up with 32bit but redid my system and installed the 64. Just can't figure out what I am doing wrong.
    Thanx
