I am by no means an expert on this, but I am pretty sure this will work with any/all torrent applications because it filters the IP's at the system level, so it shouldn't matter which client you use.

This should also filter IP's in any/all applications, because it's filtering the WHOLE box (system).

    Re: HOWTO: Graphical IP Blocker

I don't know what I did, but now I can no longer access my Xubuntu Box remotely via SSH like I used to be able to, and when I connect locally, I can't even ping google.com...
and when I run "ipblock -sl" I get:
    Code:
    Starting ipblock...iptables: Chain already exists
    PLEASE HELP

I don't know if your taking suggesting or not but, a Updating progress bar or percentage somewhere would be great, and the ability to send to tray.

Actually I'm still looking for some new ideas. ATM I'm in the planning stage of a rewrite of iplist to enable a clean server/client model in order to write a more powerful GUI, probably in gtk+. But this will take some time.
A new feature e.g. will be to have 3 kinds of lists (allow, block, exclude).

But now how do I know if it's working? and How can I see what gets blocked, etc... ?
I tried starting IpBlock up in this manner and it still gives me the same error. MOblock is disabled as well. What gives?

Maybe your DNS-server is in the lists. Try to ignore UDP port 53.

I would remove the edu.gz lists, if you're using it.
