one request for a feature, could you add the option to exclude msn, yahoo, and aim, and icq ports

btw thanks for making it easier to add all the lists... your program rules!!!!
I love the new 0.15!
thank you so much!!!!
Great but it would be nice if there were a way to close it and it straight to the tray. anyway it seems like igmp is not blocked by my firewall like I'd liked.. I hate juno and their IGMP....
however this is a great way to see if your firewall is working, as I got some some TCP ins that are not blocked by my firewall and udp..lolz
edit: and no I do not have any ports open at this mement..
edit2 by the above I mean I use arno-iptables-firewall and it works great and is EASY to setup and easy to input custom rules without all the hassle and I highly suggest it to anyone out there and well without having any p2p right now and all ports suppose to be closed and stuff it logged juno's IGMP packets coming in and blocked it, went to my firewall custom rules .conf file and noticed I didn't put the rules I asked for in there- done that, saved and restarted the firewall thru the terminal and Viola no IGMP blocks from it...and it's been clear for awhile now, without this i'd never known.. ty for finding it, etc.. now i'll have to session it to startup upon reboot and block in the background... hehehe and it also helped me learn that i didn't have to put the $ in from of every custom rule..
edit3: nope so i'm using this program to block it..

by the way i tried sudo ipblock -s to start hidden but it never did start up the commands are actually
Usage: ipblock {start|stop|restart|update|convert|status}
ipblock start
ipblock stop
ipblock restart
ipblock update
ipblock convert
ipblock status
with of course sudo at the beginning..
okay i got it working to startup on reboot
first these are the AIM, Jabber (also googlechat), msn, yahoo, icq ports
open er up DO NOT ENABLE YET
check mark next to TCP
in the box copy & paste
Open up a terminal and STOP iptables etc. or disable your firewall by pressing stop on the GUI or whatever..Code:msnp mmcc aol xmpp-client
Go back to ipblock
go to tab Protection
then click the Enable button
Restart the Firewall - if stopped iptables use the same command but at the end instead of stop put start or restart hit enter..
To get it to start up on every boot and protect invisible
1. Set EVERYTHING UP TO ALLOW THRU THE SETTINGS OF THIS PROGRAM, esp.. HTTP and ESP. if you're using ALL THE LISTS like i did it's called pipfilter in the bluetack url at the end.. and check mark everything you want such as FTP, etc...again and make sure that if you want updates every day or so to make sure it's checked at least..
2. open up your sudoers file by opening up a terminal and doing the following command:
At the end input & change USERNAME to your username you log in asCode:export EDITOR=gedit && sudo visudo
USERNAME ALL= NOPASSWD: /usr/sbin/ipblock
save
exit
back at terminal you should be
next open up start - preferences - sessions
click new
for name input
ipblock
for command input
sudo /usr/sbin/ipblock -start -s
click ok, go to tab Session Options
click save the current session.
exit the Sessions program
now reboot...
edit:
to read the logs and to check and make sure it's working do the following
open up a terminal and enter:
sudo ipblock status
hit enter

Hello,
I am trying to install ipblock but I am having trouble. I downloaded the ipblock-0.15.tar.gz file from the link. Then I extracted it using tar. Then I used gdebi but the ipblock does not show up in applications>internet>ipblock after i use gdebi. I am new to linux so I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Can someone please help me out. Thanks in advance.
