    If you create the soft links instead, you never have to rename.

    Re: HOWTO: Graphical IP Blocker

    For some reason the server returns lists differently. I use the following php redirects in http://iplist.sf.net/lists/level1.gz.php:

    Code:
    <?php
        header('Location: http://user.cs.tu-berlin.de/~uljanow/lists/level1.gz');
    ?>
    But lately it returns level1.gz.php instead of level1.gz. Any suggestions on how to fix this ? It's probably related to the sourceforge webserver.

    Uljanow: click back one page.

    Graziello: you can use past repos. Try the lucid one.

    Re: HOWTO: Graphical IP Blocker

    I can't seem to do a test by blocking my workstation's IP address which is 192.168.0.102.

    In other words, I have IPLIST on a server in my local network and I can access the server from a workstation in the local network.

    I have a blocklist in which I added the following line.......

    TEST:192.168.0.102-192.168.0.103

    I saved the file and re-loaded it. All seemed ok.

    It seems to be blocking most other IP's and even others in the same list as I see new blocks popping up...

    However, I am still able to access the server from 192.168.0.102

    I made sure that 192.168.0.102 was NOT on the whitelist.

    Anyone ?

    Added maverick support. There's also a new version 0.29 with minor changes (maverick & lucid only).

    * release (0.29)
    * fixed compiler issues
    * faulty lines don't cause an exit
    * fixed broken file names during update
    * fixed lintian errors (deb packages)

    I've seen that happen if there is no server side mimetype set for the response stream, or if the handlers for php are messed up and it isn't parseing the page as a script. no apache expert though.

    Re: HOWTO: Graphical IP Blocker

    Help....unable to launch GUI. I can no longer launch the GUI (have successfully used the GUI for 6 months). Tried via the Ubuntu Application Menu and the -g option from terminal. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and no luck. Can successful run through terminal with all other options but can't get the GUI to start up. Any suggestions or what additional information can I provide to help others help me to diagnose and fix problem.
    Running under lucid

    TIA

    Thanks for posting this. It seems to work better with Pidgin than Mobloquer does (which was my only problem with that worthy program).
