    Sometimes I need to developed enterprise applications fast, so I use VB.net.

    But for the fun stuff like developing Game AI, Sprite animation, and programs that require scientific algorithm I use Java.

    I have a hefty appreciation for Java, and I know it well, but Python continually gives me things to actually get excited about. Long live Python, indeed!

    Do people just 'whip up' enterprise applications? Maybe it's just me, but I always seem to have to go through a painful process of requirements gathering, spec documentation, coding, integration/functionality/performance testing, production deployment and support.
