The distro I'm using now (Ubuntu 7.04) is currently the ONLY distro I've ever used.

I tried SuSe and that just wasn't working for me. Then I switched to Feisty Fawn and fell in love (in a none-perverted way).
I think the dominant answer will be ubuntu. I've tried around 30 distro's and on my main box one distro has stayed the course: ubuntu.
For speed and stability: Slackware
For general usefulness: ubuntu
Greatest potential not yet realised: Any BSD based distro.

I'd have to say Linux Mint because everythings built-in and I don't have to download things like Flash or Beryl.
My $0.02 worth,
Linux Mint; good community and extras.

Ubuntu! - I think it's phenomenal in the way that it builds a bridge between the GUI-focused users, who earlier swore to for example Windows.
Many I know first tried out Firefox and liked it. And that made the choice somewhat easier some have said. They have now opened their eyes to the world of free open-source software.
And when they try the easy installation and making of dual boot in Ubuntu, they are sold. It is so easy, and useful and FREE!

I'm torn between Debian and Ubuntu. Ubuntu 'just works' but I've learnt a lot from configuring Debian.
