using memory-map with ubuntu

would like to use my memory-map programme (o/s mapping of the uk) on my new ubuntu set up - new that is to me.
been suggested to run through 'wine'
has anyone previous experiences with this particular piece of software? if so any help / pointers
(been unable to find anything of use on the mem-map website

Well the 5.0 version anyway, I don't know what you have.

It only gets a Bronze rating so remember there will probably be several problems.

Also take note of the instillation notes at the bottom.
