Arrow CF Installer-Updater --> Easily Install and Update Compiz Fusion

[B]DO NOT USE IT! The current version is not really good. Use Git4CF Automator instead. Git4CF Automator (also created by me) is the result of CF Installer-Updater 's rewrite and it is by far better from it. Here is the download link for Git4CF Automator version 0.1.5 (current version) .

Now, here is the original post fro CF Installer-Updater.
Code:
Targeted to Ubuntu, may also work in other Debian-based distros.

About

CF Installer-Updater will automatically install and update Compiz Fusion to its very latest version (from its git). I created this because I couldn't find a fast (and good) way of doing this. Compiz Fusion 's files are sometimes changed even every hour so there is not possible to have the latest available files without compiling by yourself (.deb packages and repositories are always not up-to-date with the latest Compiz Fusion version (which between always fixes some problems and adds functionalities, so it is good to have the latest one) and this is normal because creating a new package every few hours that a new Compiz Fusion revision comes out would not be possible). With this tool you will have the freedom to choose when to update Compiz Fusion (the more frequently the better).
Note: It has been reported (and from personal experience too) that by following this way (either using my script or compiling by yourself) Compiz Fusion responses much better and it is way faster, comparing with installing it through repositories/.deb packages.

Download CF Installer-Updater Version 3

Downloads Archive (old versions and other versions that they no longer exist, as they have been merged), (between, only their latest revisions of old releases are available)

Download CF Installer-Updater Version 2 rev.1
Download CF Installer-Updater Version 2 Final
Download CF Installer-Updater Version 2 Beta
Download CF Installer-Updater for Gnome Version 1 rev.6
Download CF Installer-Updater for KDE Version 1 rev.4
Download Installation Script Version 0.1
Download Installation Script (Alternative) Version 0.1
Download Update script Version 0.1

Running CF Installer-Updater

Just run

Code:
bash CF_Installer-Updater_v.X.sh
in terminal or
Code:
chmod +x CF_Installer-Updater_v.X.sh
to make it executable and then run it. After that, everything is explained and easily understood within the script so you should not have any problems using it. I just uploaded a version with a few changes, you are recommended to re-download the script.
EDIT: Just updated the files one more time, you may re-download them.

Re: Install the latest Compiz Fusion build with just a few clicks

No you are not doing sth wrong. After the latest changes it seems that I messed up the code a bit. I will upload the correct one very soon. Sorry!
EDIT: OK, I found what was wrong, it is supposed to be fixed now. Re-download it and try again. Thank you for reporting it!

Is there a reason why it installs KDE crap?

Re: Install the latest Compiz Fusion build with just a few clicks

When it asks you if you have any KDE modules you should have answered yes. I assume that you have some KDE modules installed and so it tries to install all the KDE modules,
