i installed it, and getting the output fine. but when i gave command to print a test page , it gave an error saying:
Stopping because scheduler could not execute a filter
basically, you have to make sure that every file in /usr/lib/cups/backend and /usr/lib/cups/filter is owned by root
i used nautilus to sort file by owner.. find your way
and restart cups daemon after that
Code:sudo /etc/init.d/cups restart

Hi! I go to print a test page, and the message "Stopping job because the scheduler could not execute a filter" comes up, and the print job is cancelled. How can this be fixed please?
sudo chown root:root /usr/lib/cups/filter
sudo chown root:root /usr/lib/cups/backend
is supposed to fix that problem, but it doesn't for me.
Have an HP F2480 (my last one was apparently broken, what would explain why all of my previous attempts were futile) now but this issue persists. It works, however, in Virtualbox, so it's not that bad.
