    Code:
    sudo apt-get install libstdc++5
    should do it. mine was S20 as well, and needed sudo.

    No go with X500n All-in-One printer thingie.
    If anyone has tips on how to enable printing with X500, please let me know.

    I just wanted to print something dammit

    EDITed to add: I sent an email to Lexmark Finland, requesting that they look into *nix OpenPrinting and while the tech support person was sympathetic to my request, he stated that "as a Lexmark employee, he can not comment the subject [of linux printing or OpenPrinting]". He did how ever say he would forward my email to his boss. I've no real hopes, but atleast I tried.

    Everyone please, send some polite mail to your local Lexmark support person and request linux drivers and that Lexmark take part in OpenPrinting. At some point, they have to respond. Personally, I can't understand why they wouldn't even try looking into OpenPrinting... or give out info for the community to support their printers.

    We gave up and returned this crapheap to the seller.

    After some deliberation we decided to go with HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf. We've had good experiences with HP printers and linux, despite the fact that I personally don't like their use of soft-/hardware to limit ink cartridge use.
    This was a good move, since the printer was up and running in 15 minutes after the box was opened and it took some 15 seconds for a Ubuntu laptop to install it over network and print a test page.
