Got the alternate iso, still wont install

Hi, I got the alternate iso and placed it in the same folder as the wubi installation file.

still, it starts downloading the file and gets stuck at th "retrying in 5 sec" prompt.

What version of wubi did you use? Did it run the checksum?

as the wubi installation file.

I mean put it in the same folder is the installer - for example put the wubi installer on the desktop and the iso on the desktop, and then run the installer. Don't put it in the folder you're installing to (don't put it in c:\wubi).
