No boot menu!!!

I just installed ubuntu via the wubi installer, but I get no boot menu on reboot, and therefore can't figure out how to boot up ubuntu. I'm installing on a Windows 2000 system with a single partition... plenty of room on the disk. Did I miss something? Thanks for any help!

Can you try http://cutlersoftware.com/ubuntusetup/devel/minefield and see if the issue is still there?

(I'm posting this reply from Firefox running on ubuntu freshly installed on the previously mentioned Win2000 system... seems to work well; not the speediest since the processor is only a 550MHz PIII, but acceptable.)
