Thread: Phatch: New Photo Batch Processor calling for testers

Thanks for your work on Phatch! I've been using the "watermark" feature to overlay titles on animation still frames that are then converted to videos

You are welcome! Glad to hear Phatch is useful for you. I just released a new version of Phatch which lets you select the font from a nice dropdown list with all the fonts which are present on your system (no matter where you have hidden them).

Now something important: on the 4th of march the definite version of Phatch will be handed over to Hardy. So please translate as much as possible in the coming days. (Yes if you wait a week it will be too late.) Just do an extra effort and you will enjoy it when Hardy is out.

I am now working hard on polishing Phatch both for Linux and Windows. (There were a lot of issues in Windows and I have ironed them all out. )

But the latest release aims to improve usability a lot by providing every text input with convenient preset values in a dropdown box. It is hard to describe but very obvious if you try it. Now if you select the text option it is much more easy to select a font or to do datetime stamping.

Please download the latest release and report here back how it works: successful or not. If there are any bugs, please let me know as I can still fix them for Hardy.

Let's make Phatch the most polished new application of Hardy!!

    Hi Jan,
Great job! Thanks a lot. As a present back there is a new version of Phatch available today. I will update all translations in the beginning of next week. I hope you have some time by then to push it up to 100% and I will add another thank to your profile

    Best regards,
    Stani

Yes sometimes it is confusing. I guess you need to select "need review" as they are considered untranslated:

All your translations will be in Hardy.
    Thanks a lot,
    Stani

Re: Phatch: New Photo Batch Processor calling for testers

    Hi,
I uploaded a new release with features new support for nautilus for which you have to install python-nautilus:
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install python-nautilus
Than Phatch will integrate automatically in the right click context menu:
    - recent action lists
    - image inspector
    - with the Export menu you can add your own action lists to the context menu

This means 12 new strings to translate. Can you please translate them too?

    Thanks,
    Stani

Wow, this looks like an excellent project (both the website and the program are very professionally done).

Do you think you can add, ah, something similar to picasa's "I'm feeling lucky." option? That's the only reason I use picasa really, and doing it on every photo is time consuming.
