Does this article have an validity at all?

It even contradicts it self by admitting that linux is inherently more secure than windows...

I am greatly interested in what people think, whether it is true or a load of rubbish etc.

Seems like you didn't read it, or didn't understand it. It basically concludes that Linux is indeed more secure, not the opposite at all.
