Question Ubuntu Forum User -- World Map

I was amazed to find out a close neighbor (only a couple homes away) was a huge Ubuntu fan and I got to thinking.
I have build from PHP, MYSQL and Google Maps (API) a simple map of the world and functionality to pinpoint where you live as a Ubuntu User.

    Simply go to here.

Create an account (top of the page), use your Forum Name as user name.

Type in some coordinates of where you live. (Perhaps the nearest intersection.)

    Pick your Ubuntu flavor.

Wait a minute or two and you'll be on the map.

Sounds good, seems like a nifty idea. I know a lot of other big sites that do that with their users. If it's not to much work, put it together and well see how it goes .

Sounds like an excellent idea, I don't think I have the ability to help develop something like that, but I'd definitely register!

I will start building with the Google API. What does it take to convince the Ubuntu web masters to allow us to use the site when I am done? I think that I will do something like the pear development team has done... http://pear.php.net/map/
