In her case it's only written in hiragana as さとり, not with the kanji as 悟り. They are pronounced the same, but 悟り means "profound enlightenment and understanding". And it's certainly not 悟 on its own (that's just plain さとる, which is just a verb which means "to know" or "to understand"). Her species however is spelled 覚 (also pronounced さとり, but this means "conciousness"), and these creatures are said to be able to read people's minds and say their thoughts faster than a person would be able to, which explains her abilities and why everyone hates her (actually she reminds me a lot of Kotoura, but more mature).
The whole thing is so patently infantile, so foreign to reality, that to anyone with a friendly attitude to humanity it is painful to think that the great majority of mortals will never be able to rise above this view of life.
