Hey, I want to make a .deb for some software that I have developed.
Can anybody tell me a little more about making Debian Packages, and what I will need to do it.
Thanks

Hey there. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MOTU/Documentation is the best place to start, especially https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PackagingTips , http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/ma.../index.en.html and http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/
I'm currently packaging a bitch of a source which you can see at http://revu.tauware.de/details.py?upid=5249
But the biggest tip I have for you is to hang out in #ubuntu-motu on irc.freenode.net !
That may seem like a lot of documentation I have dumped on you but I'm afraid you need to read it and understand it. That means the whole thing say 5 times before you get it right. Its the only way unless you want someone else to do it for you.

Please don't PM support questions, post a thread so that everyone can benefit
