[ubu-e]European Ubuntu Clan

This is the thread for the European Ubuntu Clan

We play free (as in cost) games that run native on Ubuntu (GNU/Linux). As soon as someone is willing to be team leader for a game then [ubu-e] will play that game.

Currently we only play Enemy Territory (ET) and its mod, True Combat: Elite (tc:e). True Combat: Elite is a free tactical shooter which resembles CS and Urban Terror. ET is a WWII-themed, somewhat less tactical shooter based on the quake3 engine.

Clan spirit : We are a clan of Ubuntu fans who live in Europe and who want to play tc:e. This is a passive way of promoting Ubuntu.

What about extending/creating the clan for ET too?

welcome aboard!

It would be wise to choose another nickname because :
1) you are putting yourself down
2) if you get any good you have to change your nick .. why not do it now already then ?

please post your IM and add the rest of us on IM

Maybe we'll extend this clan to other games (like ET,urban terror) in the future.

ok lol well I installed tcetest_0209_full.zip and tcetest_0209_patch.zip, I can play on most servers but not [ubu]?

Where can I get the Latest version? I downloaded these from jolt.co.uk as instructed at truecombat.com.

well this makes me look like a noob

EDIT: unzip tcetest_0209_full.zip into enemy-territory/ folder
and finally unzip contents of tcetest_0.48_update.zip into enemy-territory/tcetest folder.

now i can play
