Gimp Compile Options

Is there a way to tell what options Gimp was compiled with if it's installed through synaptic? Specifically, I want to know if --enable-mp was used or not. Should I just recompile with the options I want?

--enable-mp is for multiprocessor support ? I don't know is gimp 2.2 even supports multiple threads. Gimp 2.3 certainly does.
