This article is FUD. He does not provide one single piece of evideance to back up his claims that Windows XP is faster than Linux.

I tried a lot of "speed tweaks" to improve performance in Ubuntu whilst I was testing Feisty. My performance actually went down. I did a clean install of Feisty when it was finally released and thankfully now its back to its snappy self =]

I booted WinXP recently and boy, did it boot fast. Yet somehow I forgot not to touch the desktop for a few minutes until windows was really done loading.
