Installation Problems

Hi all:
I am a real newbee to Ubuntu and getting it installed. I have managed to get Wubi installed and finally the full installation proceeded until the final reboot. It proceeds upon reboot and goes as far as the label (initramfs) and then locks up. I am running Windoz XP Pro, #2 and I am unsure what to do now---something is either not complete with Wubi OR with Ubuntu (the checksums came out ok when installed) Any suggestions?

OK, I finally got it to work. Rebooting system allowed it to continue. Now, onward and upward!
