BACKUPS are unsexy — until you discover you should have done one yesterday.
Spare your nerves and do one before you upgrade or install.
Thanks, all.
Can someone who's active on the Ubuntu wiki link me to the exact Creative Commons license I would have to release the tutorials under in order for them to be used on the wiki?
http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/
is the one you want, also let me know when you're ready to do it, we could run a nice announcement on planet.ubuntu.com, etc.
Nice. That's the same license I release the stuff I post on my website under. Good to know if/when I want to port my stuff to the wiki.

Tomorrow's an illusion and yesterday's a dream, today is a solution...
If this eventually makes it onto a wiki or whatever, would someone mind taking the action to post a link to it in this thread? Thanks!
Great, what should the blog post ask people for? "Hey this is all CC licensed let's all get to work?" or do we have volunteers already lined up or .. ?
@castrojo;
I have nothing but (in)experience and time; both need filling. What can I do to help ?
it is all a learning process
I had a problem after following your wonderfully clear instructions on using wubi, and did a general internet search on how to fix the problem. I think https://bugs.launchpad.net/wubi/+bug/694242 is telling me that Wubi doesn't work with Windows 8. Would you include some discussion on how to dual boot with Windows 8 in your tutorials, please?
