Ubuntu, remove Kubuntu works well here

After installing 'ubuntu-desktop' I did boot both Kubuntu and Ubuntu twice just to be sure all was well, and it was. So then I ran your "Ubuntu, remove Kubuntu" script and all is well, but I should point out that I got this debconf choice:

Now, I would think the warning there is sufficient for anyone to choose the default "no". What do you think?
Anyway I stuck with the default "no" and all is well.
Upon completion I was told:
But I ignored that and continued. Certainly running "apt-get -f install" shows the same thing and choosing to "autoremove" results in the removal of very little "bloat"
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
libopenal1 libts-0.0-0 libmodplug1 libwildmidi1 libzbar0 libflite1
libdc1394-22 libxvidcore4 libwildmidi-config libzvbi0 libdca0 libopenspc0
libfftw3-3 libslv2-9 libass4 libvo-aacenc0 libdirectfb-1.2-9 libenca0
libvo-amrwbenc0 libsoundtouch0 libzvbi-common libgme0 libspandsp2 freepats
libgstreamer-plugins-bad0.10-0 libkate1 libcdaudio1 libmimic0 tsconf
libopenal-data libcelt0-0 libdirac-encoder0 libofa0 libmms0 libfaad2
Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
So I think your "pure Ubuntu - remove Kubuntu" is OK
lance@lance-VIA-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get autoremove
