Re: Psychocats Tutorials Updates
Hi. When I first installed Ubuntu I did a dual boot. I was following a tutorial on line and had printed it out and went step by step to set up the dual boot with XP. I installed the Hardy 8.04. There wasn't anything mentioned about a /home in any of the tutorials shown. I had done it by the first step where you use the slider and measure how much you want to give both. When the next LTS comes out I'm planning on going full Ubuntu since I don't even go to the XP side of the house. So, I would be one of those who would greatly appreciate a step by step in installing a "Fresh/Clean" install and adding a /home at that time. I've read your tutorial that you have now and since I'm new at this am afraid that I would probably mess something up by creating one now. I know that it probably would be helpful from what everyone says to have a /home, but would need to do it when the next LTS comes out. I'm looking forward for your new tutorial. I always enjoy reading your comments. I learn a lot from them. As I said, I never seen anything anywhere talking about creating a /home in the tutorials I was reading and watching the videos before creating the dual boot. A question that remains in my mind is will we really need a /home to have a "Fresh/Clean" install when I tell it to completely install over everything. Please advise as to that.
Thank you very much.
