Installing Savage Newerth

I am trying to install savage and Like some people running into this black screen. It just says iniltializing on it.

My mouse is this white square thing that leaves a trail. When I run from command line the output has no errors.

I downloaded from http://newerth.com in the downloads section.

My system is 1.2 Ghz, 300Mb Ram, (old vid card, plays other games fine though) Nvidia TNT2. Drivers all installed ok. I can play Wolfenstein ET without any problems.

Any help would be appreciated!

you downloaded not the correct version (I see it's only 150mb but it should be around 300).
go here : http://www.s2games.com/savage/downloads.php
and download the version in this page "Savage Retail 2.00e" install it and run it - it works for me.
