Ok I'm searching for a new look for ubuntu something really cool, but not beryl or compriz they're too unstable and I'm still new to all this.

Try here http://www.gnome-look.org/ some nice themes. be aware though In Linux desktop it looks as if ICONS wall papers and logon screens are separated.
