Question Other versions of ubuntu and wubi

    Hi,

Can I use wubi with the live cd version of feisty 7.04 beta rather than the alternate cd to install ubuntu?
If so, how do I do this? Can I just change the intrid.gz and vmlinuz files to the ones on the cd or do I not have to do anything?

Also, can I use wubi with the ubuntu edgy live cd?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

No, live ISO and alternate ISO are very different.

No, not even with edgy alternate iso. There is little point anyway, since Feisty is now fairly stable and it will be out in a couple of weeks.

What you can do is use wubi with other flavors of Feisty beta alternate: kubuntu, xubuntu, fluxbuntu... See the wubiguide for that.
