Re: PCSX2 0.9.3 Released for Linux!

I get in compiled on Ubuntu 10.04 by installing following libs:
    libglew1.5-dev libxxf86vm-dev libasound2-dev libportaudio0 portaudio19-dev joystick libsdl1.2-dev

    so her are the steps:

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install subversion libjpeg62-dev build-essential libgtk2.0-dev libxxf86vm-dev x11proto-xf86vidmode-dev automake1.9 libbz2-dev
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install libglu1-mesa-dev
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install libglew1.5-dev libxxf86vm-dev libasound2-dev libportaudio0 portaudio19-dev joystick libsdl1.2-dev
I could not find two nvidia-cg-toolkit and lib-portaudio-dev that mentioned here. but anyhow I get it compiled and run.

by the end of the day I could not run any game! I get "Error Opening GS Plugin"
any idea on how to fix this annoying prompt?

    sudo apt-get install nvidia-cg-toolkit portaudio19-dev

If they are not there check if your sourcelist is correctly set. It may be the stuff that gives you the errors if they are not enabled into the app.
Do also check the output of the configure script if anything is missing.

I haven't checked back on thie progress of this in a while, are we still responsible for dumping our own ROM from the Playstation or has that been simplified? I have 2 Playstation 2, I just don't understand the process.

Re: PCSX2 0.9.3 Released for Linux!

    I already got those two nvidia-cg-toolkit portaudio19-dev.
Installed latest version from "http://ppa.launchpad.net/gregory-hainaut/pcsx2.official.ppa/ubuntu" (added to repositories)
Same error. However, when I choose (libzzogl) I get some bad quality output and slow.

Just give it up for a while see what would be next option for Ps2 on ubuntu

My advice would be to install the official pcsx2 repository, which is available here. Then you can just install pcsx2 from synaptic.

Scratch that. I just noticed you're running 64-bit. Get the following ppa, instead: https://launchpad.net/~micove/+archive/experimental. He includes a 64-bit pcsx2.
