    Copying from Gimp to Inkscape

    Hi
    I have a quick question. Is it not possible to copy from Gimp to Inkscape?

    I don't think so, since GIMP and Inkscape use totally different image formats.

    hmm that is sad, I used to use photoshop/illustrator combo and there it worked just fine, is this also why it does not work in Xara?

    Yes. It works with Photoshop and Illustrator because they are more integrated with each other than Gimp and Inkscape.

    About all you can do is save as bmp in gimp, then import it into inkscape.

    well, you can import and export things from gimp to inkscape or vice versa but all the layers and such will be gone.

    I never saw where a png would open in inkscape, but that's great!
