Cool applications you use that others might not know of

I've started using a couple of command line apps for Google services.

1.gcalcli - the Git Hub version see my signature for a link. It supports oath so there is no need for your password in a gcalclirc file anymore

2. Tasky - also a script from Git Hub (see my signature for a link) that lets you add, view and edit Google Tasks.
NOTE: This script requires you to register "your" application at https://code.google.com/apis/console/

3.YouTube Uploader for the command line - https://code.google.com/p/youtube-upload/
NOTE: There is a bug in the current version that causes the uploader to crash unless you use a Gmail address, even if the non-Gmail address is a Google ID

I found a pretty awesome tool vobSub2SRT, which has a ubuntu PPA also.

It converts .idx / .sub subtitles into .srt text subtitles by using Tesseract as OCR.

GNOME Wave Cleaner, aka gwc, for de-noising an audio file. It has various spectral subtraction algorithms, rather nicely implemented. Unfortunately not altogether documented but ain't that so common . But it's a REAL NICE app.

(I have it on a "system rescue" disc but I forget from where I got that ISO)
