Concern: I can see multiple configured Windows networks...

Hi,

This is probably an unusual situation, but here it goes.
I am in a student building, where internet is offered by the university.
There is a massive 100mbit network for all (250ish) occupants.

While checking the network in nautilus, to my amazement I could see dozens of Windows-networks.
I have not been able to, or tried beyond clicking a few of them, to acces any.

However, I want to make sure that none of them can acces my pc.
Now I have never done anything with Linux security, so I have no clue if I am vunerable, in which way, why, and most importantly how to solve it.

Can anyone offer me tips, suggestions or tell me what to google for?

Thanks,
