How does the reporting of the browsers work?

Does it report the rest of the 4% as "other" or does it actually give a breakdown on each reported identity?

Does anything using gecko or xul report the same? So if a user is browsing with Epiphany which is using the same gecko as Firefox does it get reported the same?

Does the report tool use the browsers reported user agent or does it do deeper detection?

Usage stats are interesting.

It's really interesting what is sent and not. I mostly use Firefox because it works on most sites, but it also seems to be the most blabby of the two. If I can remember I'll check with IE7 later just to see what it says.

It's also interesting how Firefox reports Ubuntu-Feisty and Konqueror reports Kubuntu.
