looking for a nice thumbnail generator in linux

that's just it, I want something that will create mass thumbnails in a clean GUI, I also want to be able to set my own width/height dimensions and filetype as well as the new filename, anyone know if there's something like this out there for linux, or a windows program that works nicely in wine or something

    thanks!

"Nautilus Image Converter" -- install it through the Ubuntu Software Centre. Then just right-click on the images you want to made thumbnails of and select "Resize Images". Very simple.

Can you do a batch of images too? Highlight all the images in a directory, or better yet select the directory, and run this?

Yes, just open the folder, select whatever images you want, and resize them all in one go.
