Will Asrock AM2NF3-VSTA mobo work?

Two days ago I started this thread about building a PC. The mobo is pretty new on the market so I'm not 100% sure if it will work with Ubuntu 6.10. Some searching learned me that it is compatible with the Debian Etch 2.6.16 kernel. So is there any chance it will work with Ubuntu?
TIA

Probably will. I think in Feisty, we have the 2.6.20 kernel, and in edgy we have 2.6.17.

There are most likely some differences between our kernel and Debian's kernel, but they should be similar. Ubuntu generally includes more drivers, since it is a little less "free" than Debian.

Can you keep us informed of you success/failure on this project, I'm also thinking of building an AM2 machine so I'm very interested in your progress.

Thanks

Re: Will Asrock AM2NF3-VSTA mobo work?

Ok, some more news, after some troubles with the PSU, so had to wait for another week and I hate waiting, but finally I assembled my new Ubuntu PC, it was the first time in my life I did a thing like this but I survived without a severe nervous breakdown
The moment of course was putting an Edgy Live-CD in the tray and I waited. It came up with a greyed out us splash screen but I read about that on this forum, so I' wasn't worried about that too much ...
There is an internet connection, I was a little but concerned about that without reason apparently.
I'm going to see what's going to happen with the alternate-cd now.
